I approach editing from the reader’s side of the page.
When something causes me to pause or lose momentum, I know it will do the same for others.
That awareness guides my work, line by line. When the edits work, the reader doesn’t notice.
I help make that your reality.
False starts. Late nights. Deleted words, and those what if I try this instead? moments. You've worked hard to bring your narrative to life. Now it’s ready for someone to read between the lines. That’s where I come in.
You need someone who understands what you’re trying to say and knows when the words on the page aren’t quite saying it. Your tone sets the mood.
Your imagery is deliberate. Your characters do the heavy lifting. I’m here to make sure nothing gets in their way. I look for the things a reader shouldn’t have to notice: the awkward phrase, the misplaced comma, the character who slips out of focus, the moment that needs more room—or less.
I don’t rewrite. I enhance.
I untangle the abstract, catch subtext on instinct, and pay attention to the small things that quietly change meaning. I’m meticulous about cohesion and clarity, fluent in implication, and suspicious of anything that doesn’t need to be there.
